MaXx's Story

My amazing late husband Larry E Holtzclaw was my inspiration and cheerleader in creating the Special Blends company. He loved long Island Ice tea and all I wanted was to make him his favorite drink.

Special Blends Mobile Bartending was established in 2018. Bartending was just for fun, for this 52 year old retired logistics technical director. But very quickly I saw the need for better bartenders for the vast growing mobile bartending industry. Our team quickly grew to 5 bartenders servicing locate event venues.

Special Blends Bartending School was established in 2021. When we realized most schools lack a focus on mobile bartenders. Our main goal is to create amazing mobile bartenders, as well as bartenders for restaurants and bars.

Special Blends the BAR is our latest addition to the Special Blends company. We now feature a fully stocked, licensed and insured bar package. We now run our cash bar at the Powder Springs Thurman Springs Park and a few other locations around Powder Springs.

Bartending School

We are a mobile bartending company, a school, a bar. We provide staffing services and job placement for our graduates.

As the school, we strive to produce the best bartenders in the business that restaurants, lounges, clubs and other staffing companies seek to hire.

Our instructors have years of bartending knowledge and experience that we will share during your classroom training.

We offer 20 or 40 hours of classroom and on hands training, you will participate in a mixer for your practical test and will take a written exam to get certified. We focus on taste, not just ingredients, if you are 21 and older, you will get to make real drinks in our classroom and taste them.

At the end of the course for those of you who were able to make all drinks, you will receive your certificate. For the top students, we will offer you, your first bartending job at one of our venues.

Mobile Bartending

Special Blends Mobile Bartending was established in 2018 as a mobile bartending company to provide bartending services for weddings, anniversary parties, birthday parties. Anywhere you want to serve alcohol. We have a team of amazing bartenders available to serve up amazing drinks at your special event. We can provide a one stop shopping for your party to include a bar, cups, ice and even the alcohol. Special Blends can supply a copy of the liquor license as well as the insurance needed for some facilities.
