Brand Ambassador Agreement | Terms & Guidelines
Our job as a Brand Ambassador is to sell the inventory that liquor has on the shelf. We do
this by conducting tastings. Special Blends Bottle Shoppe is a brand ambassador team,
supporting many Black-owned liquor companies.
Whether you have been hired for a particular brand or many brands with us, we have a few
guidelines we would like you to review and acknowledge at the end of reading.
Please read and indicate your agreement through the form at the bottom of this agreement to work with us.
What you need to become a brand ambassador:
All brand ambassadors will need the following:

Black 4x2 foldable table. You can purchase these tables at Walmart for about $35.

A black tablecloth

Communion cups
We will provide you with a kit to include the following:

Spirit/alcohol product

Promotional items

Cups to get you started. You will need to replenish your communion cups.
You will need to come and pick up the product from our location, or make arrangements to meet and get the spirit/alcohol product. We no longer do product reimbursements—please plan at least 3 days before your tasting.
Tasting Report:
We will need to document your activity while you are conducting the tasting.
For the following brands, please log into the Overproof App and conduct the tasting and reporting:

This form is password protected. We will periodically change the password and always communicate the new one to you.
How to sign up for tastings
We will upload jobs each week and communicate when new tastings are available. Please only sign up for the brand you were hired for.
How to get paid:

We pay each Wednesday by Zelle, provided you have completed the tasting report or logged into Overproof.

Log into the Employee Portal and complete the timecard. It is password protected. (https://www.specialblendsbar.com/payroll)

Be sure to enter the correct Event ID. This ID is located in the subject line when you signed up for the tasting. It is also in the email confirmation you received.

Select the next available Tuesday. (Keep in mind, we pay on Wednesday).

Sales Requirement: We recommend that you sell a minimum of 4 bottles to remain as a brand ambassador. Consistently high-selling brand ambassadors will be considered for other brands. We understand that weather conditions and public events can impact sales.

We ask that you try your best to achieve the highest sales possible.

Incentive: We will run amazing incentives throughout the year. It’s your opportunity to make more. Additional details will be emailed to you.

Tasting Guidelines:

Check the inventory: If the location has less than one case of product, call us and let us know. We will advise you whether to conduct the tasting or go home. If we ask you to go home, we will pay you for 1 hour. The scheduler on the team does their best to ensure a minimum of 2 cases are available for tastings.

Punctuality: Please arrive 5–10 minutes early to get from the parking lot to the tasting table. Give yourself enough time to set up your table.

Appearance: Dress appropriately. Please wear all black. Not too sexy, ladies. No logos on shirts. First impressions matter!

Presentation: Please ensure your table and display are professional and visually appealing. We will provide you with laminated product flyers and mailing list flyers. For everyone tasting, please ask them to sign up for the mailing list to find out more about the product they are tasting.

Product Knowledge: Be prepared to speak confidently about your product, including tasting notes, ingredients, and possible mixers.

Engagement: Please try to remain standing and actively engage with customers. Be prepared to offer a brief explanation about your product and its unique qualities.

Promotional Items: Be sure to have any promo cards or promotional items we provide you to give away.
